Travel Insurance Coverage Highlights:
Wise travelers recognize the need to protect their trip investment.  As part of our travel advice, we recommend that all travelers purchase some form of travel insurance for the following reasons:
  • Ability to cancel your trip up to time of departure (for covered reasons).
  • Protection against the bankruptcy or financial default of an airline, cruise line or tour operator.
  • Reimbursement for cancellation penalties (which can be up to 100%) due to an illness, injury or death of you, a traveling companion or a family member.
  • Health insurance coverage while traveling in a foreign country. (Many health insurance companies limit coverage or do not provide coverage outside of the United States. Medicare does not provide coverage outside of the USA).
  • Reimbursement for the unused portion of your trip if it is interrupted.
  • Medical transportation expense in the event you must be medically evacuated to a hospital that can provide necessary emergency care.
  • 24-hr. emergency assistance for travel and medical expenses, help with lost passports, tickets and other travel documents.
  • Complete coverage details.

Pre-Existing Condition Limitation:
With respect to the Emergency Medical/Dental Expense benefit and the Emergency Medical Evacuation/Repatriation benefit, you will not be paid for medical expenses incurred as a result of a condition for which the Insured Person received medical treatment or advice, or took prescribed drugs or medicine, or for which treatment was recommended by a Physician, during the 60 days immediately preceding and including the Insured’s Effective Date, unless the condition is controlled through the taking of prescription drugs or medication and remains controlled throughout the 60 day period.

With respect to the Trip Cancellation/Interruption benefit, you will not be paid for loss or expense incurred by the Insured Person as a result of Injury or Illness of the Insured Person which manifests itself during the 60 days immediately preceding and including the Insured’s Effective Date, unless the condition is controlled through the taking of prescription drugs or medication and remains controlled throughout the 60 day period. An Illness or Injury has manifested itself when: (a) medical care or treatment has been given; or (b) prescription medication has been altered or changed.

This Pre-Existing Condition exclusion is waived for all Insured Persons under the age of 70 if coverage is purchased within 10 days of the date of the Insured Person’s total trip paid to the Travel Supplier for the Trip.
